***At this time no ordnance sites have been identified for OU-B1 that may require Land Use Restrictions. The Navy has committed to the continuation of the Ordnance Education Awareness Program and warning signs.

Land Use Controls

a Land Use Restrictions are required to ensure that the land will never be used in a way inconsistent with the land use assumptions set forth in the Adak Island RODs..

b Equitable servitude may be required for these sites at the time of transfer of the property. The final equitable servitude language will be provided in the Finding of Suitability to Transfer.

c The Downtown groundwater is restricted from domestic use.

d Excavation permits are required at all sites. Excavation is prohibited at the landfills and sites with a soil cover.

e Inspection and reporting of institutional controls annually, or as necessary as appropriate. Assess the need to take additional action or to reduce controls, as appropriate.

f Fishing advisory to recommend limiting subsistence consumption of bottom fish and mussels

g Education Program (required for shellfish/fishery advisory and for ordnance hazards).

h Place and annually inspect signage for shellfish fishery advisory and ordnance hazards.

i Annually inspect soil covers to ensure they remain intact.
